Old Drava

Old Drava is a preserved still water that retains its almost original shape of a horseshoe meander (curve), and reminds of a swamp. It is very deep, and fishermen's love it for its abundance of fish and a good catch of atfish, carp or pike.

It is inhabited by herons, swans, ducks, snakes, frogs and turtles. It gets its water from the Drava river at high water level, but also from the canal Tapolca (Spa).

This area has always been visited by fishermen and weekenders, and even now is. Along the pond, there is a paved road Belišće – Beli Manastir and a bicycle path along which are placed a lookout tower, gazeebo-rest arrea for cyclists and a dozen benches.
